The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a non-partisan policy analysis group, hosted a series of discussions on the federal budget process. The event coincided with the release of the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution’s new report aimed at improving the federal budget process. In addition, the event heard from Senate Budget Committee members Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and David Perdue (R-GA). Both senators agreed about the need to fix the budget process, saying it was “completely useless” and “absolutely broken.” Other participants included journalists, budget experts, and professors. close
