Former Mexican President Vicente Fox discussed U.S.-Mexico relations at the National Press Club, where he was a featured luncheon speaker. Most of his remarks focused on the shift in U.S.-Mexico relations under the Trump administration, which he said had taken an unnecessarily adversarial approach to diplomacy between the North American neighbors. Mr. Fox also warned that President Trump’s demands in renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) threatened to undo much of the good the deal had done for the U.S., Canadian and Mexican economies. After his remarks, he took questions on a variety of topics from the audience. close
