As part of a series of C-SPAN interviews with members of Congress who were retiring or lost in in the 2018 midterm elections, Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) reflected on his life and career in politics. He talked about his experiences with the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001; his foray into reality television; and the 2017 shooting in Alexandria, Virginia, at the practice for the annual Congressional Baseball game. He also shared his views on President Trump and his hope for a 2020 primary challenger to the president as well as the need for the Republican Party to return to its core conservative values. close
