The Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance several of President Trump’s judicial nominees. This included the nomination of Jonathan Kobes to be a judge on the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Several Democrats voiced concerns about the nominee, citing the American Bar Association rating him “not qualified.” Committee members also voted out two pieces of legislation. The first bill addressed election interference and security, and the second was the Justice for Victims of Lynching Act.

The hearing gavels in about four minutes into the program. close
