2019 marks the 400th anniversary of the forced migration of Africans to the Virginia Colony in 1619. The Association for the Study of African American Life and History hosted their 93rd annual Black History luncheon where speakers reflected on the theme of Black migration. They explored forced migration into slavery and the northern and western migration of African Americans in the 20th century. close
