Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf testified on Capitol Hill about President Trump’s fiscal year 2021 budget request. Members of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security asked about preparedness for the coronavirus outbreak, efforts to protect migrant children, U.S.-Mexico border wall construction, and the administration’s expanded travel ban. The Homeland Security Department budget proposal includes approximately $49.7 billion in net discretionary funding, along with an additional $5.1 billion for the disaster relief fund. close
