The Milwaukee Bucks' assistant coach and senior vice president spoke to Politico about the NBA team’s decision to protest a police shooting of a Black man by sitting out a playoff game. Jacob Blake the previous week was shot seven times in front of his children by Kenosha, Wisconsin, police officers. The two officials defended the team’s choice and discussed their goal in making such a decision. They also criticized President Trump’s son-in law Jared Kushner’s comment that NBA players can afford to take a day off. Vin Baker, the assistant coach, called it insensitive and ignorant. close
