Public health experts testified before a virtual House Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing on efforts to develop a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine. Witnesses included former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Dr. Mark McClellan, University of Nebraska Public Health Dean Dr. Ali Khan and Brown University Public Health Dean Dr. Ashish Jha. Panelists also discussed the FDA approval process, ongoing vaccine clinical trials, distribution plans and public confidence in a COVID-19 vaccine. close
