The Brookings Institution hosted a virtual discussion on Europe’s global leadership and the future of transatlantic relations with the U.S. Panelist included Munich Security Conference Chair Wolfgang Ischinger and Eurasia Group Founder and President Ian Bremmer. Both foreign policy experts discussed the possibility of European Union resentment toward the U.S., how Europe should engage China, and what America needs to do to win back the trust of its European allies. Other topics included climate change, the coronavirus pandemic, and Brexit. The Brookings Institution’s Fiona HIll moderated the discussion. close
