President Biden and Vice President Harris spoke at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. They condemned the recent shootings at three Atlanta-area spas and gave an update on the coronavirus pandemic. Eight people died in the shootings, including six women of Asian descent. President Biden said a core value that should bring the country together is to stand “against hate and racism, calling it "the ugly poison that has long haunted and plagued our nation.” The president also talked about meeting his goal of 100 million vaccine shots in his first 100 days in office, and increased testing and vaccine access, and he highlighted successes from the American Rescue Plan Act. close
