U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai and other officials discussed the one-year anniversary of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which went into effect on July 1, 2020. Other speakers included Mexico’s secretary of the economy and Canada’s international trade minister. They talked about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on trade and implementation of the USMCA treaty. Following their remarks, House Ways and Means Ranking Member Kevin Brady (R-TX) delivered remarks discussing passage of the free trade agreement in Congress. close
