Dr. Francis Collins, outgoing director of the National Institutes of Health, joined a Washington Post discussion on the COVID-19 pandemic and his retirement from an agency he has helmed for more than a decade. He answered questions on a variety of topics, including the Omicron variant, COVID-19 vaccines, the impact of long-COVID-19, and his contributions to health policy.
