“We face two strategic challenges at once, on an equal plain of importance - geopolitical competition against two countries who do not share our vision for what the world should look like, for what a just society should look like and a set of transnational challenges the United States cannot solve on its own,” said National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. His comments came as he joined the Council on Foreign Relations for a conversation on U.S. foreign policy. Among the topics discussed were Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, competition with China, challenges posed by North Korea and Iran, and mitigating climate change. close
