Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), and several women Democratic senators spoke to reporters at the one-year mark of the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case that overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision protecting women’s right to abortion. They talked about the impact the Court’s decision had on women across the country and those serving in the military, and the ways they were seeking to enshrine abortion rights via legislation. Senator Murray also answered a few questions on the topic from reporters. close
