2024 independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke to voters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He said if he were to become president, he would pledge to keep the United States out of war by projecting economic power rather than military power. He invoked his uncle’s name, former President John F. Kennedy, when talking about issues including an increase in childhood diabetes, the U.S. economy, and the value of the Peace Corps program. He later took questions from reporters, addressing a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) by the Democratic National Committee alleging his campaign and the American Values 2024 super PAC were illegally coordinating to get the candidate ballot access in all 50 states. close
