Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) joined other politicians from various countries to discuss relations with the European Union at the Munich Security Conference in Germany. He said the United States should focus its foreign policy on East Asia over Europe, adding that European countries need to better provide for their own security. German politician Ricarda Lang responded to Sen. Vance, mentioning former President Trump’s controversial remarks that Russia can invade any EU nation it desires if such nations do not sufficiently invest in their security. Several members of the audience also responded to Mr. Vance’s remarks.
