“No matter how much we debate, no matter how much we disagree, we always have been able to come together as friends of Ireland,” said President Biden during remarks at the annual Friends of Ireland luncheon hosted by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Capitol Hill. Also delivering remarks was Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, who spoke on the importance of U.S.-Ireland relations. The president and the prime minister both spoke on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and continued support for Ukraine. close
