Three of those bills provide aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, and the fourth is a package of national security measures, including sanctions on Russia and Iran, as well as forcing China to divest from TikTok or face a ban of the app in the U.S. The House Rules Committee, in a 9-3 vote the previous night, approved the rule for these four bills, and in a rare move, all Democrats on the committee voted for the rule. Three Republicans, Representatives Ralph Norman (SC), Chip Roy (TX), and Thomas Massie (KY) voted “no.” Lawmakers in this session also debated a suspension bill concerning border security and immigration policy.
