Former President Trump welcomed former Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso to his residence at Trump Tower in New York City. Before their meeting, the former president briefly spoke to reporters and said he and the former prime minister would discuss Japan and the United States. He also commented on Columbia University and the recent pro-Palestine protests on its campus. The former president said the school should “gain a little strength, a little courage, and keep their school open ... the people running Columbia have made a grave mistake” after canceling in-person classes. close
