Senator Bond felt strongly that the Whitewater investigation warranted a Congressional hearing to insure the system of checks and balances in the U.S. government. Senator Pryor felt that Congressional hearings could impede the process and that Senators ought to honor Special Counsel Fiske’s request to not hold hearings. close
