Donald Sioss, National Commander, Disabled American Veterans, and Secretary Brown, of Department of Veteran Affairs each, made brief remarks honoring past and present U.S. veterans. Then, President Clinton also praised and thanked past and present veterans. He also mentioned his trip to the Pacific to honor the U.S. invasion of the Philippines and the personnel still serving in the Pacific region. He also talked about the continuing obligations of American society toward its veterans, including strong military and serving their needs as they grow older. close
