In February 1960, four black college students were refused service at a lunch counter in North Carolina. They staged a sit-in protest, which touched off a student-led demonstration movement around the country. At this forum sponsored by the Smithsonian Museum of American History & Program in African American Culture, the participants remembered this sit-in protest and answered questions from the audience. close
