Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers, and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail. During a School Bus visit to "The Washington Post", Leonard Downie talked about the news content of the paper. In the newspaper roundtable, Blaine Harden and David Maraniss talked about their journalism careers and discussed the headline stories in the morning papers. Via telephone, Meg Greenfield talked about the editorial and op-ed pages of the paper. Richard Cohen talked about writing for "The Washington Post". Donald Graham talked about the history of "The Washington Post". His father and grandfather before him were publishers of the newspaper. close
