Fred Meister spoke about the reasons why distilled spirit manufacturers should be allowed to advertise on television, both in constitutional and economic terms. Recently the Distilled Spirits Council voted to begin advertising on television, which it originally chose not to do when televisions first appeared in the U.S. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience. The Media Institute is an advocacy group for freedom of speech. close
