James Andrew Lewis talked about U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon's ruling that the National Security Agency (NSA) phone record data collection program was unconstitutional. Judge Leon granted a preliminary injunction sought by plaintiffs Larry Klayman and Charles Strang and stayed his decision "pending appeal," giving the U.S. government time to appeal. Mr. Lewis also discussed some of NSA's methods for determining which phone records to look at, the role of telecommunications companies, the effectiveness of the program, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Court, and other topics. close
