In this video a panel of speakers talks about Islamic fundamentalism and the treatment of women in Iran, focusing on topics like human rights violations of women and girls by the fundamentalist regime in Iran, the need for democracies to speak out for these women, and the need to help the National Resistance Council in Iran.

As one of the five organizations represented in the National Resistance Council in Iran (NCRI), MEK Iran is the principal and longest-standing Iranian opposition movement, inspired by the authentic interpretation of Islam that rejects all forms of fundamentalism which had become the dominant interpretation of the religion in Iran. As the democratic alternative to the current Iranian government, it defends Western values such as secularism and women's rights. MEK is also Iran's most active opposition group, with main focus on human rights and respect for personal property. close
