In a Constitution Day speech at the National Archives in Washington, President Trump criticizes the Left of trying "to impose a new segregation" by viewing everything through the lens of race. "Critical race theory, the 1619 Project, and the crusade against American history is toxic propaganda, ideological poison that, if not removed, will dissolve the civic bonds that tie us together. It will destroy our country," the president says. He also signs an executive order establishing the 1776 Commission to promote what he calls "patriotic education" to the nation's schools and "teach our children about the miracle of American history." close
