Congressional Republicans on Climate and Energy Policy
House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chair Lamar Smith (R-TX) was among the Republicans members of Congress who spoke at a Heritage Foundation event on opportunities for changes in environmental and energy development policies in a Trump administration. Representative Smith and other panelists talked about their goals for working with President-elect Trump on items such as relaxing Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulation of industry, and increasing support for oil and gas development on federally-administered public lands. Representative Pete Olson (R-Texas) took questions from the audience at the end of the session.
