House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Ed Royce (R-CA) talked about U.S. foreign affairs challenges, including the U.S. strategy to defeat ISIL* and Russian intervention in Ukraine and Syria. He also outlined House legislation which would place new economic sanctions on Norh Korea in response to their most recent nuclear test.

State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki responded to questions from reporters on a variety of international issues including the use of chemical weapons in Syria and U.S. pressure for a renewed cease-fire between Ukraine and Russia.
