The Presidency
Programs from American History TV's weekly series on "The Presidency," starting with historian Peter Henriques on the relationship between George Washington and Alexander Hamilton. He looks at why their collaboration was important to the nation's founding, where it went awry, and the historical accuracy of Hamilton: The Musical. The event took place at Gadsby's Tavern Museum in Alexandria, Virginia.

Tuesday, August 28
White House Historical Association's "Presidential Sites Summit" Day 1 
American History TV will be LIVE during the day from the "Presidential Sites Summit" hosted by the White House Historical Association in Washington, DC. Those sessions will re-air that night at 8pm ET, starting with a panel on "Presidents in History & Memory" featuring several presidential scholars.

Thursday, August 30
Oral Histories: Women in Congress
Oral history interviews conducted by the U.S. House historian's office with former congresswomen, including Reps. Sue Myrick (R-North Carolina, 1995-2013) and Eva Clayton (D-North Carolina, 1992-2003). Each recalls her political career, first congressional campaign, committee positions, and the role of women in politics.

Friday, August 31
World War I 
The U.S. entered World War I in April 1917, but it was a year later when American Army soldiers and Marines saw their first major combat on the Western Front. We'll feature programs marking the centennial of World War I, starting with a tour of the Library of Congress exhibit "Echoes of the Great War" with curator Ryan Reft.
