President Bush reiterated his pledge to veto legislation that set constraints on military deployments in Iraq as part of emergency funding measures for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. In his remarks he criticized the legislation for containing unrelated spending measures. He also answered questions from reporters on a number of issues including Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Syria and planned meeting with President Assad. close
