A formal investiture ceremony was held for Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. Staff members representing components of the Justice Department participated. The preliminary ceremonies included a presentation of the colors by the Military District of Washington Joint Armed Forces Color Guard; Shawnee Ball singing the national anthem; the Pledge of Allegiance led by students of the Bedford Academy in Brooklyn, New York; an invocation; and a performance by the Morgan State University Choir that included of “God Bless America.” close
