President Trump, during an Oval Office meeting with the Finnish president, responded to repeated questions about House Democrats moving forward with an impeachment inquiry largely focused on a July 2019 phone call between the president and the Ukrainian president. He told reporters that a whistleblower’s complaint about the call is “inaccurate” and that House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff (D-CA), who is leading the impeachment inquiry, is a “low life.” He argued there was no quid pro quo in the phone call and that the person who gave the information to the whistleblower is a “spy.” close
