Washington Governor Jay Inslee (D) held a news conference in Olympia on the state’s coronavirus response efforts. He announced a two-week “stay home” order that closes non-essential businesses and bans all public and private gatherings, including weddings and funerals. He said Washingtonians were permitted to leave their homes for essential trips, including grocery shopping and doctor’s appointments, as well as for exercise as long as safe social distancing practices were observed. close
