Analysts discussed China-Africa relations at the Atlantic Council, as part of a conference on Chinese influence in the Global South. They discussed political and economic interests that China has in Africa and how China is achieving those goals, as well as Africans' attitudes toward democracy, governance, China, and the U.S. According to Joseph Asunka, CEO of Afrobarometer, a large majority of Africans are committed to democracy and prefer it to other forms of government. close
