Undersecretary of Defense for Policy, Walter Slocomb and Brigadier General James Hill, the Assistant Deputy Director for Politico-Military Affairs, briefed the press on the details of the military aspects of the multinational efforts to stop Serbian led genocide of Muslims in former Yugoslavia particularly in Bosnia. They stated that the operation “can be run with minimal risk to the U.S. and other personnel.” Following the special briefing on former Yugoslavia, Defense Department spokesperson Kathleen deLaski held a briefing on Defense Department issues. close
