The House agreed to the Senate amendments to H.R. 4328, to authorize appropriations for fiscal years 1991 and 1992 for the customs and trade agencies. The House continued consideration of amendments to H.R. 4739, to authorize appropriations for military functions of the Department of Defense, but came to no resolution; seven amendments were agreed to and ten amendments were rejected. The House voted to suspend the rules and pass S. 3033, to extend free mailing privileges to members of the armed servies engaged in temporary military operations under arduous circumstaces. The House also agreed to the Ridge (R-PA) motion to recommit to the Post Office Committee the bill to extend free mailing servies to members of the armed services in temporary military operations under arduous circumstances. close
