Government Management Subcommittee held a hearing on Air Travel and Y2K.

Committee members heard testimony about the readiness of airports and the airline industry for the year 2000. Witnesses testified that the Federal Aviation Administration is prepared, but has set up contingency plans for air traffic control. They stated that airports had “a late start,” and that while large airports are making good progress, many smaller airports have yet to report on compliance. close
