Participants talked about the safety and security at nuclear processing stations in Russia. They said that there was an urgent need to accelerate joint monitoring programs. Among their recommendations were further consolidation of nuclear materials, security upgrades at processing plants, increased cooperation between Russian and Western scientists, and further performance testing. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
