Jack Todd talked about his book Desertion: In the Time of Vietnam, published by Houghton Mifflin. The author wrote the book more than thirty years after defecting to Canada to avoid serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, a war he strongly opposed. Scottsbluff, Nebraska is the author’s hometown and this is his first visit in over five years. After his presentation the author answered questions from members of the audience. close
