The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of June 26.

Today’s prayer was offered by Rev. Lawson Anderson, Canon Pastor, Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas, Little Rock, Arkansas.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mr. McNulty to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

ONE MINUTE SPEECHES - The House proceeded with one minute speeches.

On approving the Journal Agreed to by the Yeas and Nays: 346 - 45, 1 Present (Roll no. 189).

OATH OF OFFICE - The Speaker administered the oath of office to Representative-elect J. Randy Forbes.

The Speaker recognized the Dean of the Virginia Delegation, Mr. Frank Wolf, who welcomed Mr. Forbes of Virginia to the House of Representatives. Subsequently, Mr. Forbes addressed the House for one minute.

ONE MINUTE SPEECHES - The House resumed one minute speeches.

The Speaker announced that votes on suspensions, if ordered, will be postponed until later in close
