During a photo opportunity with the Kuwaiti ambassador to the U.S. on the day following President Bush’s declaration of the liberation of Kuwait and a cease-fire in the Persian Gulf war, President Bush spoke with reporters in the White House. President Bush announced that the Iraqi government would select government officials to meet with coalition officials to discuss the military cease-fire of the Persian Gulf war. The arrangements had yet to be determined, but Iraq showed compliance with the initial details of the cease-fire. The Kuwaiti ambassador thanked President Bush and the coalition forces for their work in liberating Kuwait. close
