In the seventies, the coalition began to crumble as both saw new interests, such as the Jewish community focusing on Israel and Soviet Jewry. But there has been renewed interest in this relationship, as Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) shared her ideas on how blacks and Jews working together can help create a pluralistic society. close
