Senator Tim Johnson (D-South Dakota) talked about U.S. policy toward Iraq, as well as current energy legislation. He responded to audience telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail. The senator was a co-sponsor of a bill to require the White House to submit, within 60 days, a report to Congress on Iraq. The documents submitted had to contain a detailed report on the current situation, a timetable, and cost estimates. Senator Johnson was also a member of the conference committee responsible for negotiating a comprehensive energy bill. close
