Author Elinor Langer talked about her book, "A Hundred Little Hitlers: The Death of a Black Man, the Trial of a White Racist, and the Rise of the Neo-Nazi Movement in America", published by Metropolitan Books. In the book, Langer examined the death of an African-American man at the hands of three white supremacists in Portland in 1988. She then told the story of the ensuing legal battle that not only saw the three attackers brought to trial, but also resulted in the filing of a lawsuit against White Aryan Resistance founder Tom Metzger. Langer explained how the murder of one man led to a large-scale civil suit, brought by the South Poverty Law Center, with the goal of sending a message to the skinhead movement in the United States. close
