Following an introduction by Mr. Kantor and a speech by Mr. Shriver, panelists discussed the life and work of humanitarian Sargent Shriver. Mr. Russert moderated the panel. Each panelist reflected on a different aspect of Mr. Shriver’s career, including his leadership in the war on poverty, his efforts to provide legal representation for the poor, and his work for the Special Olympics.
