President Bush spoke to veterans about various issues including the treatment of injured personnel returning from Iraq at Walter Reed Medical Center, his appointment of a commission to study conditions and treatment of wounded veterans complaints at other facilities, and reiterated his commitment to the welfare of U.S. troops deployed abroad. He made the remarks at the 47th National Washington Conference of the American Legion. close
