Former Army Secretary Togo West gave a lengthy introduction, saying that

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is “good to go” as president and commander in chief. Senator Clinton delivered a major foreign policy speech on the war in Iraq. She spoke of visiting U.S. troops as first lady in dangerous locales and acknowledged the sacrifices of U.S. troops everywhere. She criticized the Bush administration for rushing into war in Iraq, asking, “How can we end this war responsibly?” Other topics included U.S. world leadership, the responsibilities of the Iraqi government, and the costs of the war.
