Jennifer Daskal talked about the trials she witnessed at the Cuban base and

her organization’s ongoing effort to alter U.S. policy at Guantanamo Bay. She

responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.

In recent weeks, news reports have revealed that trials of alleged terrorists

held at Guantanamo Bay may have been rigged to produce convictions irrespective

of evidence. A former prosecutor was the star witness against the government

in a proceeding where a former driver for Osama bin Laden boycotted his own

trial in protest of unfair procedures. close
