Farhana Ali talked about the political future of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, who may be facing impeachment proceedings as early as this week. She also responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. Musharraf would be the first president to be impeached in Pakistan’s 61-year history. He came to power in a 1999 coup ousting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Previously, Musharraf served as Chief Executive of Pakistan, as well as former Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army. close
